Stars
we have lived for long
with earth under our feet
and sky over our heads
exploring the life on earth
and wondering about the sky
we have worshipped the sun
and loved the moon
but could never decipher the stars
beyond any of our measures
and way beyond our reach
also the most stoic
unchanging with times
and unmoving in our lifetimes
fuelling our imaginations
and captivating our minds
we have looked up to them
to search for our dreams
to remember the lost souls
to guide us with directions
to win over our inhibitions
they are our companions
our everlasting soulmates
reminding us of our mortality
showing a glimpse of eternity
